
Mary had a career as a dedicated Primary school teacher. In retirement, she has remained active within her local community as both a School Governor and a Town Councillor. She has a passion for working with and for the benefit of young people.

Rachael is an experienced art teacher who also ran her own creative business in Belper, as well as facilitating for Fleet Arts.
She is now Education Coordinator at the awarding winning ‘Museum of Making’ in Derby.

Francesca joined us as an intern from Derby University as an Assistant Archivist to catalogue/research our 40years archive. She has since graduated with a first and has stayed with us on a temporary contract to complete the archive for Derbyshire Records Office. She will then be joining us as a Trustee.

Mike is an ex-partner in a local Solicitors firm. He is a keen sportsman and active member of his local Squash club.

Janet is a retired ‘Groundwork’ Executive Director and rural development worker. She is currently director of a local social enterprise company.

Ellie has been volunteering with Fleet Arts, at both events and working on the Archive. She is a Senior Project Officer for the Department of Education. In her spare time she is a keen walker and creative.

Nick is a visual arts graduate and keen musician. He works as a hands-on landlord and building renovator.

Chris started up Fleet Arts in 1983, with his partner Rosemary, from a shed in their garden! He is a retired Local Authority Senior Officer in Adult Community Education and a former community arts worker. He now is a hands-on Grandad and skilled Potter.
