There will be a mini road closure on part of King Street (from Memorial Gardens to the Sweet Shop/zebra crossing at the corner of Strutt Street). This is for our community whale skeleton parade on Saturday 25th March, 11am – 11.45am, meeting in the Memorial Gardens.
We have delivered a series of art workshops with various groups, to create a 100ft(ish) whale skeleton (linked to Belper folklore) to process with and then be used by Heritage England for marine education workshops.
